Psychodynamic Therapist
Sometimes life leaves us carrying feelings that are hard to understand or hard to carry alone. At times of difficulty or uncertainty it can be helpful to speak to someone who will listen with empathy.
Therapy can provide a confidential space where you can begin to share the things that are troubling you.
I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can explore, be heard, and begin to make sense of your experiences.
My Approach
I offer a non-judgmental, safe and compassionate space where you will be listened to with understanding. Together we can explore what is happening in your life and whether past experiences have contributed to how you are feeling and how they maybe impacting you.
As a psychodynamic therapist I can help you to explore the roots of your difficulties to gain a deeper understanding of yourself. This can help you to make sense of your feelings and help you to make changes in your life.
I work with individual adults (18+) and offer open-ended, in-person therapy or online therapy.
Sessions are held on the same day and time each week, which provides a regular and reliable space for us to work together.
What I can help with
Sometimes things in life can feel difficult. You might be considering therapy because something in your life feels difficult, unresolved or hard to understand. You may be feeling anxious, distressed, isolated, helpless or burdened. Perhaps something doesn’t feel right in one of your relationships or it may be that you are experiencing a feeling of bereavement or loss.
My work includes but is not limited to working with issues concerning Abuse, Addiction, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Health related issues, Loss, Neurodiversity, Redundancy, Relationship issues, Self-esteem, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues.
Special Interests
I have a special interest in working with people who have been affected by addiction within close relationships, including those who are grieving the loss of someone who struggled with addiction, or who have lived alongside a parent, partner, sibling or loved one struggling with substance use. Being in such a relationship can involve complex emotions. I offer a space where feelings can be spoken about openly and held with care.
In addition, I have a special interest in working with twin relationships. If you are a twin, or your life has been deeply shaped by a twin relationship you may recognise the unique emotional bonds and challenges that can arise. Similarly, if you are a lone twin you may be feeling the unique loss of such a bereavement. I can offer a space to explore how your twin relationship has shaped you, your relationships and your sense of self.
About me
I trained at the University of Oxford completing a rigorous four-year Masters in Psychodynamic Practice with Distinction.
I am an accredited registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I practice within the ethical framework and good practice guidelines of these organisations. I attend regular supervision and continual development programmes to enhance my clinical practice.
I have experience working as a psychodynamic therapist, both in private practice and for a charity counselling service.
Previously I supported people bereaved through another person’s drug or alcohol misuse for the national bereavement charity Cruse. I also provided helpline support for the National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACOA).

Location
My clinical practice is situated in a self-contained private and confidential setting to the south of Wokingham, within easy reach of the surrounding areas of Twyford, Reading, Bracknell, Crowthorne, Sandhurst and Camberley.
There is unrestricted on street parking.
Apart from one step, there is level access to the therapy room.
The Next Step
It can feel hard to know where to start. You may be thinking about therapy for the first time, or had some therapy in the past. You may have questions and concerns about beginning therapy, so the next step would be for us to have a brief confidential telephone conversation to think about what might feel right for you. You can contact me either by telephone or email and we can arrange a convenient time for us to talk.
If after our telephone conversation, you would like to explore things further, we can meet for an initial 50-minute consultation. This gives us the opportunity to meet each other, for you to ask questions and for me to understand how I can help you. We would discuss together if continuing to ongoing therapy is something that you would find helpful.
